Your cookie settings
When you first visit the site, a banner asks whether you are happy for us to use analytics cookies. Nothing other than the strictly necessary consent record is set until you answer. You can change your answer whenever you like:
If the settings panel does not open, your browser may be blocking the consent tool; the button then takes you to the hosted version of our cookie preferences instead.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device so it can recognise you or remember something between pages and visits. Some are essential for a site to work; others, like analytics cookies, help the site owner understand how it is used. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, do the same job and are covered by this policy too.
The cookies we use
This site has no forms, no accounts and no advertising, so it sets very little. The full list is below.
Strictly necessary
These are needed to record your cookie choice so we do not ask you on every page. They do not track you and cannot be switched off.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| illow consent record | illow (our consent management tool) | Stores whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, and when. | Up to 12 months |
Analytics (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are visited, how people arrive at the site and which devices they use, so we can improve it. Google Analytics is configured with IP anonymisation and without advertising features. These cookies are set only if you accept them in the banner or in the settings panel above.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another with a random identifier. | 2 years |
_ga_EMCFJRY0Z1 | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of the current visit (session) for this site's analytics property. | 2 years |
Google's own description of how it uses data from sites that use its services is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Third-party content
Pages on this site may link to other websites, such as Google Maps for our address. Following a link takes you to that site, which sets its own cookies under its own policy. We do not embed third-party content that sets cookies on this site.
Managing cookies in your browser
As well as the settings panel above, every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies. Blocking all cookies will not stop this site working, since nothing here depends on them. Instructions for the common browsers:
